This website serves as a central resource directory for all of the local and global activities, projects, initiatives and upcoming events of the Allen Temple - AIDS Ministry and our collaborative partners. Please use this website to quickly locate specific AIDS Ministry events, programs, services and partnerships and to also learn about: -- HIV/AIDS -- Alameda County State of Emergency of AIDS in the African American Community --What you can do to make a difference --The LOCAL and GLOBAL activities, projects and initiatives of our AIDS Ministry and our collaborative partners --The urgency of raising local and global awareness, prevention, testing, treatment, support and stigma reduction. Our AIDS Ministry is comprised entirely of many deeply dedicated and committed volunteers and is supported by our Church congregation. Our volunteers come from many different churches and organizations and are not required to be a member of Allen Temple. All of our local focus projects are provided by volunteers whose goal is to change the course of this devastating disease in our community. Our AIDS Ministry's overhead is paid for separately by our Congregation. All donations earmarked for local programs and services are used locally, with a special emphasis on youth, anger management clients, foster teens, and ex-offenders. All donations earmarked for our HIV clinics are restricted for those specific clinic activities. Each of our volunteers pay their own expenses for all of our work in Zimbabwe, so ALL of your donations are used to directly purchase AIDS meds and supplies and services for our Zimbabwe clinics in Harare and Mutoko.
